While reading "Creating and Comparing Myth in Twenteith- Cantury Science Fiction: Star Trek and Star Wars" by Lincoln Geraghty I was very interested. I have never really watched Star Wars or Star Trek so reading this and finding out what their point was by creating these shows was very interesting. "Star Wars was showing the battle between good and evilm young heroes and ancient sorcery. While Star Trek has a strong functional parallel with older myths, becuase it is fururistic setting entails a more serious king of truth claim" ( Page 198-199)
